Organic, non-GMO, land stewardship all matter to me. Young Living has a proven track record of producing high-quality EOs, but more importantly, they care about the seeds, soil & plants that go into the land, and they care about the land too! While their oils aren't certified organic- the costs is prohibitive, plus they have farms in countries where organic certification doesn't even exists- they use pure soil and plants, and they raise them in a manner needed to create pure distilled essential oils. They go WAY beyond Organic, and it shows!

I want essential oils that I can use internally, since I want the option for internal support. Many EOs sold in stores (including health/natural stores) are marked that they are not for internal uses, which raises the question of just how pure they can possibly be... Using the French view of aromatherapy and essential oil application, Young Living has all their EOs labeled for use, and almost all of them are safe for ingestion! They also have an extensive advisory board that helps determine the safety of their EOs.

I have some unusual health issues, which while researching, I found some unusual EOs recommended to help relieve. Young Living has one of the most extensive lists of EOs, including rare and hard-to-find oils, in the world. They also have permission to harvest in areas that other companies do not, such as their sacred frankincense farm in Oman.

We have many pets, including dogs, cats and guinea pigs! And we found Young Living to be the only veterinarian recommended essential oil company out there! I highly recommend a good quality reference guide when you are using essential oils on your pets- knowing the right oils to use & the dilution rations are very important, but we've had great success with our pets and Young Living!
I am a busy person, and have no desire to make my own EOs blends. Young Living also has an extensive list of EO blends, many of them created by Dr D Gary Young. I don't always have the time to research & blend my own oils, so I appreciate being able to take advantage of Young Living's offering.

And lastly, I found that I could use being a distributor to earn money back to invest in my EOs. There are often negative things said about multilevel marketing companies, but when it boils down, everyone is out to promote something- bloggers get paid to name drop products, your doctor gets bonuses to mention certain drugs, I get a check each month from Young Living because I use their products & believe in them- and I get others to do the same! There are much worse ways to earn a little extra money!

The Bottom Line- I have simply fallen in love with YL essential oils and the lifestyle that accompanies them! No more drugs, chemical cleaners & wonderful alternatives to everything from laundry soap to air freshener! I started 2013 out with the intent to cleanse our home & lifestyle and using EOs has really helped make it a reality!
